Here's a step-by-step guide on how to build your own folding beach chair:

  • Gather your materials. You will need:

    • 1 piece of canvas fabric, cut to 24 inches x 30 inches
    • 1/2 inch bolts and nuts
    • Drill
    • Screwdriver
  • Assemble the frame. Start by attaching the two 24-inch pieces of lumber to the two 18-inch pieces of lumber using the bolts and nuts. Make sure the bolts are tight, but do not overtighten them.
  • Attach the seat. Center the canvas fabric on the frame and secure it using thescrews.
  • Attach the back. Cut the 30-inch piece of lumber in half to create two 15-inch pieces. Attach the two pieces of lumber to the frame using the bolts and nuts.
  • Attach the legs. Attach the two 24-inch pieces of lumber to the frame using the bolts and nuts.
  • Fold the chair. To fold the chair, simply fold the back of the chair down onto the seat. Then, fold the legs of the chair up onto the back.

Your folding beach chair is now complete! Enjoy relaxing in your new chair all summer long.
